A Quiet Scent From In-Between Worlds

An ancient, churchy frankincense.
A mystical mysticism shop.
A Mexican naturista store.
Winter in medieval europe.
The College of Winterhold in Skyrim (and please don't say you play Elder Scrolls games without Tyrannosaurus Rex as your custom soundtrack).

Giant, frozen, sonorous spaces where voices would echo, if only there were anyone left around.

It is grey-blue cobblestone, white marble, and cedar burning under a dark night sky.

This scent is stunning, artistic and transportive.

It doesn’t only invite you into sacred realms—it guides you to rest in their comforting, meditative spaces. It conjures up feelings of magic—the kind you feel most vividly during winter celebrations.
There's just something about cold weather that quiets and calms everything. The white blanch of snow over everything is especially striking for those lucky enough to experience such winters. Even without snow, though, cold temperatures tend to blanket the world with stillness.

It's that profound quietude that you can catch—when you're out in nature—that I think can quite easily echo the feelings of a temple, church or wherever we bring our meditative mind. We can learn to carry that sense of serenity anywhere, if we practice doing it. It’s very possible to cultivate peace, even in a busy train station or a crowded office.

And it isn't like a perfume is going to change your life, but spritzing on a reminder of your most grounded self to wear all day could be a lovely mindfulness tool. Passage d’Enfer is a beautiful way to bring yourself back to a place of inner stillness.
